A delegation including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who were in Singapore on an official visit, returned to the country on Saturday night.
The Duty Manager at the Bandaranaike International Airport stated that the premier and his delegation arrived aboard a Singapore Airlines flight.
The prime minister left for Singapore last Friday in order to participate in the Indian Ocean Summit. The premier who delivered the inaugural address at the summit, said that there was a need to introduce a set of laws in order to protect the Indian Ocean region.
During his visit to Singapore, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe also met with US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Biswal.
