The Met Department says that fairly strong winds that could reach upto 50kmph at times, is expected to continue across the country.
They added that light showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern Northern and Northwestern provinces.
Meanwhile, the Department also stated that the sun will be directly over Sri Lanka from August 28 to September 7. Today, the sun will be directly over the towns of Henegama, Kumbukgolla, Yatiyantota and Kandegedara at around 12.10 in the afternoon.
